The Virtual Core Repository provides access to digital data on core and other drilling samples retrieved by scientific drilling projects. Sets of samples online include metadata, scientitific data and links to other resources.

The German Scientific Earth Probing Consortium, GESEP e.V. provides this service on behalf of its members. This service was created using funds of the German Research Foundation, DFG through a project conducted by BGR, GFZ and MARUM.
