Alternative Dispute Resolution in Consumer Contracts

According to the law on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Consumer Contracts (VSBG), a trader who maintains a website or uses general terms and conditions is obliged to notify consumers of the extent to which he is willing or obliged to participate in dispute settlement proceedings before a consumer’s dispute resolution body. The European Commission provides an online platform for dispute resolution (OS) under the external link ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. The platform serves as a point of contact for the out-of-court settlement of disputes with regard to contractual obligations arising from online purchase contracts. GESEP is not obligated to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a dispute resolution body and, furthermore, does not offer participation.
